At the Mark 5 Grill and Bar, Roseburg, Oregon, a new art gallery wall of my work features winery locations. Mark asked me to put together an art piece for each local winery on his wine list. Below are a few that I have already made. Come in to the Mark 5 Grill and Bar to see more. I went to each site to photograph the elements presented, then assembled them in the float collage format.

Several seating locations are available for your leisure. The expansive 150 foot deck on the river or the tented and heated space accomodate the changing Oregon weather.

my signature piece. The Ponderosa Pine blooms
are about two inches in diameter. The needles are
about a foot long. The bloom carries the pollen
for the pine cone located just below the bloom.

the wonderful geometric shapes and color contrasts. This is my tribute to
days gone by when the lumber industry got rid of the wood chips
by burning them. Now we use all of the wood materials, including the
production of building materials like particle board, and other not so
sophisticated products like kitty litter and garden mulch. The air is much
cleaner now, but with fond memories I remember watching the bright
red chimneys belch the sweet smelling smoke as we drove on hwy 99, now
Interstate 5.
